Stand Up Against Bullying
Empowering Schools & Communities to Face Bullying Together
About the project
This project aims to develop a bullying prevention program, integrating expert insights, educational experience, and community involvement to create a safer environment and empower schools and communities to address bullying and peer violence effectively.
Project Focus
This project focuses on preventing bullying and peer violence in schools, aiming to create a safer and more supportive environment for students, teachers, and the whole community.
Why It Matters
Bullying has harmful effects that go beyond the individual. It affects mental health, academic performance, can lead to social isolation, suicidal ideation and suicide attempts. Bullying and peer violence has long lasting negative effects, for those who bully, those who are bullied, bystanders, parents and families, schools and communities.
Evidence-Based Approach
The program is grounded in scientific research and best practices from other countries. It involves all key stakeholders—students, parents, teachers, school counsellors, the local community and responsible national institutions —working together to foster a collaborative approach to bullying prevention.
